World skeleton kings - Dukuri

Welcome to the exhibition "World skeleton kings - brother Dukuri" from 2th February till 30th June 2016.

Exhibition displays numerous wallcharts representing information and photos on Latvian skeleton history, sports achievements of Martins and Tomass Dukuri, Latvian National skeleton team, newcomers of Latvian skeleton and most popular tracks where skeleton competitions are held. As well, various objects including prizes of Martins and Tomass Dukuri, skeleton sledges, helmets, special shoes, start numbers and uniforms from Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City (2002); Torino (2006); Vancouver (2010) and Sochi (2014) are exhibited. In addition, movie by Latvian director Dāvids Erenštreits “Dukuru mezgls” and an episode of broadcast “Personība. 100g kultūras. Skeletona aizsācējs Latvijā Dainis Dukurs” are ready to watch.
Exhibition will be displayed until June 30, 2016.

Exhibition has been created by using private belongings of Dukuri family, collection of Latvian Sports museum and photos by Romualds Vambuts, Ilmārs Znotiņš and other authors.
